The Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) blame game rages on, with the Left accusing President Donald Trump of somehow not doing enough to address the crisis. But as anyone who has been paying attention well knows, Trump did try to help by promoting the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has continued to stonewall at the expense of the tens of thousands of lives that have now been needlessly lost.
At last count, upwards of 48,000 Americans have died just since July 1 when the FDA delayed issuing an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for HCQ. Doctors and medical professionals all across the country have repeatedly tried to get the FDA to cooperate with their requests to administer HCQ to their patients, only to have the FDA reject their petitions.
The latest rejection came on Aug. 10 when the FDA told Dr. John McKinnon and his team from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit that they cannot prescribe HCQ either for outpatient prevention or for inpatient early treatment. Under no circumstances is HCQ allowed to be prescribed, in other words, even though a clinical trial conducted by Dr. McKinnon resulted in a 51 percent reduction in deaths when HCQ treatment was initiated within 24 hours of a patient being admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Peter McCullough and his cardiology team at the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute in Dallas apparently peer-reviewed Dr. McKinnon’s paper and findings, agreeing that HCQ is a useful tool in the fight against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). But this is not so, according to the FDA, which continues to resist all attempts by actual doctors to provide much-needed relief to their suffering patients.
Despite the fact that HCQ was approved as safe and effective by the FDA back in 1955, and ever since has been successfully used in millions of patients, Steven Hahn, the current head physician at the FDA, says no go. Hahn was appointed by the Trump administration back in December, by the way, so “dear leader” is likewise complicit in this tyranny by the FDA against the American people.
Hahn continues to rehash the false narrative that HCQ is causing outpatient harm, which has been thoroughly debunked. Hahn also continues to ignore all scientific evidence showing benefits from the use of HCQ, particularly when administered alongside zinc and the antibiotic drug azithromycin.
An outpatient primary care study conducted by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko found that treatments of HCQ, azithromycin, and zinc resulted in an approximately 80 percent reduction in deaths when given within seven days or less of the emergence of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.
Dr. Harvey Risch, an epidemiologist from Yale University, has likewise come forward to present evidence showing the effectiveness of HCQ in treating Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. According to Dr. Risch, as many as 100,000 American lives could have been saved had the FDA allowed HCQ to be used as treatment.
“The FDA used a standard of “may be effective” for the rapid May 1 EUA given to the experimental anti-viral remdesivir, based on one controlled clinical trial terminated early,” writes Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet, M.D., for WND. “Yet FDA is now requiring a higher standard of a randomized controlled clinical trial for the already FDA-approved HCQ in safe use for 65 years.”
Remdesivir, by the way, has shown very little benefit in hospitalized Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, not to mention the horrific side effects it has reportedly induced. By none of this matters since remdesivir appears to be the anti-viral drug of choice chosen by the deep state as the only available remedy for the plandemic.
